Either the grease on the shaft is hardened or shaft is rusted. once you can get carrier gear off, clean it. Then check the position of the snap ring on the motor shaft. Make sure it is in the groove.Looked at a millermatic 250X for $1000. Not sure how old it is but it is super clean, comes with a big (120cuft?)
